IS OVERCOMER’S FOR ME OR SOMEONE I KNOW?

Living in a broken world we all deal with life’s hurts, hang-ups, and habits. No one has the ability, nor should they attempt to face their hurts on their own. Overcomers is a beautiful community of strugglers that courageously enter this safe and beautiful space to get honest about our pain, and the negative ways we may see ourselves, God and others. In this process we come to accept that some of the habits we may have developed to escape our pain has caused destruction in our life and those close to us.

Overcomers is a biblically balanced approach to help bring sustainable recovery and healing to our hurts. It guides us toward new healthy truths and life-giving habits as we repair our broken relationships. Join more than 7 million hurting people across the globe who now walk in freedom through the power of Jesus Christ as we walk through scripture and steps that help us sustain peace and give us freedom.

ARE YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW STRUGGLING WITH...

Anger - Codependency - Eating Disorder - Food Issues - Love & Relationship Addiction - Physical, Sexual, and/or Emotional Abuse - Drug Addiction - Alcoholism - Sexual Addiction - Gambling Addiction - Childhood Dysfunction - Grief - Mental Health - Then Overcomers is for you or them.

Fasting, Men’s Gathering 6:30pm

Fasting, Men’s Gathering 6:30pm

Fasting is a temporary renunciation (rejection) of something that is in itself good, like food, in order to intensify our expression of need for something greater, namely, God and his work in our lives. It is a spiritual discipline. Jesus did it. It draws us closer to God and makes us press into dependency upon the Spirit. Fasting brings us into a closer union with God. While our bodies are being deprived for the purpose of drawing near to God, He has promised in return to draw near to us. This is a spiritual  certainty. As we decrease, the Spirit increases. As individuals we are strengthened and renewed. “...Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day”  2 Corinthians 4:16.  “Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen: to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free and break every yoke? Is it not to share your food with the hungry and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter; when you see the naked, to clothe them, and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood? Then your light will break forth like the dawn, and your healing will   quickly appear; then your righteousness will go before you, and the glory of the Lord will be your rear guard. Then you will call, and the Lord will answer;  you will cry for help, and he will say:  Here am I.” Isaiah 58:6-9

*Pray with confidence:                                                                                                  God expects, invites, and commands us to pray. Pray with confidence and know that God isn't just hearing you, but he is also sharing His heart’s desires with you. Share your hearts desires to Him for your friends, family or neighbors and listen and write down what God may be asking you to do for/with them as he prepares hearts and minds for  a moment to share His love and grace with them.

*Pray by name:                                                                                              Intercede for people by name and spend time asking God HOW to pray for them. Remember, God is the one who calls them to come and to be relieved of the burden of their sin  Pray that they would hear His call and that they would respond to Him. (Matthew 11:28-30, John 14:6).

*Pray to remove the enemy’s influence:                                             Ask God to open their eyes, to  give them sight - spiritual sight. Ask God what lies you need to pray against, what strongholds you need to tear down, and pray for truths to be revealed. Pray specific truths from his word. (Ephesians 1:4  & 2:10, 2 Corinthians 4:4)

*Pray to become a person of influence:                                                             Ask God how you can become a person of influence in the peoples lives around you. Ask how you can be more intentional in your relationships with unbelievers. (Romans 10:14).

*Pray for boldness & opportunity to speak:                             The Apostle Paul longed for boldness and confidence that he was speaking the right and best words.  “[Pray] also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel…” (Ephesians 6:19). Ask the Holy Spirit to bring to mind scriptures and truths that will help you boldly declare God’s love and pray them out loud.

*Pray out loud:                                                                                                            As you boldly begin to pray for those around you learn to pray out loud. Your words carry power and authority to change the atmosphere and situations you may be in. This may be awkward at first, but the more you pray out loud with confidence you will start to notice a difference.

Fasting, Overcomer’s, Spanish Bible Study & Co-Ed Bible Study (Co-Ed Study offsite)

GOOD FRIDAY SERVICES: 5:30pm & 7:00pm

Our Good Friday services are designed to remember what happened to Christ on the cross. It is a somber service filled with a message, worship and communion. This moment of remembrance prepares us for the celebration of resurrection Sunday (Easter).

Upper Room (pre-service prayer) 8:20am, Baptisms/Church Service 8:50am, 10:50am & 12:50pm, Softball

Click below to sign up to be Baptized.

Mandatory Baptism Class:

If you are signing up to be baptized you must attend the mandatory baptism class that is held 40 minutes prior to the service you’ll be baptized at. The class will be held at 8:10am (for 8:50am service), 10:10am (for 10:50am service) & 12:10pm (for 12:50pm service).

Attire For Baptism:

Appropriate attire would be darker clothing as you or your child getting baptized will be going under water. Those getting baptized must wear shorts (no bathing suite bottoms) and a dark colored T-shirt (please no A-shirts or sports bras) in the water. You will be taking your shoes off to get baptized so we recommend wearing sandals to easily slip on and off. Please remember to bring clothes to change into afterwards.

**Please remember to bring a towel

Baptism Information:

Baptisms will happen midway through the service. We fully submerge those getting baptized. However, if there is a problem with being fully submersed we will of course be able to accommodate. We can only accommodate 2 extra people in the baptismal along with one of our pastors. The biblical model we see in scripture is that whoever is in the water baptizing needs to be baptized themselves. If you want someone in the water with you please make sure they have been baptized. Please solidify to us prior to the baptism day who will be in the water with you. After each individual gets out of the baptism, they will step to the side and be immediately prayed for by a few members from our prayer team. This prayer will happen quickly so if you have a family member or friend you would like to pray over you after, let them know to be ready to follow you after you get out of the baptismal.

We will be following up with you after your baptism form has been submitted & we are so excited for you and your walk with Jesus!

Culture Night 6:30pm

Culture Night 6:30pm

Culture Night

Time: 6:30pm

Many churches have different ways of expressing Glory to God. Many different traditions that have tested the hands of time. If you call yourself family at our church or want to know why we call our selves family at our church this is a night you need to be a part of. There will be 3 Culture Nights throughout the year each one sharing a different part of who we are and why we do what we do here at Church Two42. We will be going over our values and what they truly mean and why we chose them. A detailed look at our logo and how we came up with it. An in-depth conversation about our Statement of Faith and why we believe in these things. All this to create a unity within the church and give opportunity to be the body God has called us to be. We pray that you will find a way to commit to these nights throughout the year.

* SPECIAL NOTE: There will NOT be child care at these events for two main reasons. ONE, we want all of our family to join us as we worship as one body. If we provide child care for the potential 100+ children we have in our church, a good portion of our body would not be able to participate because they would be watching the littles. SECOND, if (we do pray everyone in our church would see the need to be a part of this event and participate) all of our children came at one time we would not have the facility to hold all 100+ of our littles. Hence why we do two services.

We hope you understand this and can find ways to accommodate your littles for this event. BUT as always we are a family friendly church and your children can attend the service with you. We just ask that they stay with you during the service. In the future we are hoping and praying to have the facilities and the manpower to accommodate all the needs of our community.

Kids Camp

Dates: June 23rd-27th (M-F)

Location: Church Two42

Time: 9am-Noon

Purpose:

Kids Camp started in 2021 as a way for high school students to raise money for their summer camp. What was intended to be a small fundraiser for camp quickly changed when our high schoolers start to have a genuine heart for the kids they were leading, which led to them wanting to do all they could to help them grow in their relationship with Christ. Even though this welcoming and fun event is for our children, it is not part of our Inheritance Children’s Ministry. Instead, the entire camp is designed, programed and ran by our Legacy high school students, with adult oversight of course. Giving them an opportunity to experience leadership in ministry, share the love of Christ and hopefully lead some of our littles into a relationship with God. This amazing event has been a huge win for all involved and has now become a staple in our summer programming.

Vision:

Our goal is to help the kids grow both in maturity, knowledge, and relationship with God. We hope to foster an environment where kids can build genuine relationships with their peers and their leaders that last beyond the summer and help them grow. We want to provide an experience that is different from the normal Sunday School and allows them to share their joy and the Gospel of Christ with others outside of a church environment.

*Pre-registration, liability form & payment is required to reserve your spot

*When you go to pay below it’ll direct you to our “giving” link. You’ll submit $40 per child and in the drop down fund please select “KIDS CAMP”. In the comments type the children’s name(s) that will be attending camp.

Inheritance, Legacy Middle School & High School Ministries

Tuesdays 4:30pm to 6:00pm

4th and 5th Graders

Inheritance midweek service and designed with our preteens in mind. Not quite an adolescent and not quite a kid, 4th and 5th grade students will gather together each week to become a genuine Acts 2 community. A community devoted to God and loving others, while learning to boldly live out their identities as followers of Christ at a level that meets their unique stage in life, preparing them for the transition to the Legacy Student Community.

Legacy Middle School

Time: 6:30PM-8:30PM

Location: Church Two42 (Venue)

For more information contact: Pastor Craig Hamilton our Middle School & Senior Pastor

  • If you are in middle school or high school join us as we establish a genuine Acts 2 community that inspires generations to boldly live out their destiny in Christ.

  • The student community has defined four core values that we try to fulfill weekly.

† ENGAGE: Learning how to connect with the society we’re in and helping influence it in a Godly way through our actions, our commentary and our speech.

† PURSUE: Learning how to take initiative for our own spiritual growth and walk with God.

† DEFINE: Learning personally who we are in Christ in order to develop our identity and character.

† SPIRIT - LED: Learning how to seek God’s wisdom and direction through scripture and Holy Spirit.

  • Establish a place for 6th–8th grade students that helps them engage righteously with their culture, diligently pursue God and their destiny, while defining who they are in Christ.

Legacy High School Ministry

Time: 6:00pm- 8:30pm

6:00pm to 7:00pm - Legacy Small Groups

7:15pm to 8:30pm - Legacy High School Service

Location: Church Two42 (Sanctuary)

For more information contact: Pastor Craig Hamilton our High School & Senior Pastor

  • Legacy High School is designed to have two functioning ministries back to back…

6pm-7pm: Our Legacy Groups meet prior to the Legacy High School service. These groups are designed as discipleship groups. They have both adult and student leaders. These groups give our students a chance to grow a little deeper with Christ as well as get to know each other. It also allows those with leadership giftings to lead their peers and share the love, grace and glory of Christ. After these groups are finished we then have our Legacy High School Service.

7:15pm-8:30pm: Our Legacy High School Service is where our students will have the opportunity to worship as a community, pray over and for one another as well as be inspired by the scriptures.

If you are a high schooler, join us as we establish a genuine Acts 2 community that inspires generations to boldly live out their destiny in Christ.

  • Establish a place for 9th –12 grade students that helps them engage righteously with their culture, diligently pursue God and their destiny, while defining who they are in Christ.
