Music Lessons
Derek Delgado
Drum & Guitar Teacher
My love for music started when I was in middle school. My uncle gave me a guitar with a chord book and I joined the drum line. Since then, I’ve learned how to play the drums the guitar, piano, bass, and a little alto sax.
Nothing else I’ve ever done in life has given me more joy and purpose than playing and creating music. And now I get to walk in that purpose as one of the drummers on the Church Two42 worship team and with my band “No No” around LA.
Looking forward to showing you the love of music with the drums.

Mikah Carson
Piano & Vocal Teacher
I started piano at six years old, and fell in love with music! Throughout my life I’ve participated in many musicals and advanced choirs, traveling to perform at colleges and schools around California as an All-State Musician. I have also been playing piano and singing on the worship team at Church Two42 for four years, and am constantly amazed at how God has continued to move through music and worship! I am eager to teach excellence in music theory and technique across multiple genres, all based on a solid foundation in Christ. My hope is to foster a love of music that will raise a generation of talented musicians and strong, Christ-centered worship leader
Rodney Cox
Bass Teacher
I primarily play the bass guitar and a little bit of piano and have been playing bass for 14 years. I got started with music on the piano, taking lessons from ages 8 to 12. Then at the age of 16 I rediscovered the idea of playing music through my friends at the skatepark. They exposed me to a lot of cool genres and music gear that I would have never thought to look into on my own.
Now I currently play bass with a few different bands/artists: NO NO, Reverend Baron, and the Church Two42 Worship team. I enjoy playing on the worship team because I believe that is where music serves its greatest purpose. I am truly passionate about broadening the understanding of what worship music can feel and sound like.
My favorite verse is Proverbs 17: 27 “He who has knowledge spares his words, And a man of understanding is of a calm spirit.”
Kai Rodriguez
Guitar Teacher
Hey! I’ve had the opportunity to play multiple instruments including drums and piano, but I really excelled while learning the guitar! I’m on stage multiple times a week at Church Two42 and play at The Flipside Church as well. I’ve grown in many genres, but the ones I enjoy playing the most are blues, CCM, country, and rock.
Favorite Bible verse: 1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Never stop praying”
